Starting in 2025, the breeding resource system will be available in all regions of Russia, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported on March 26.

"The Ministry of Agriculture has completed the development of the first stage of the Federal State Information and Analytical System of Breeding Resources in Animal Husbandry (FGIAS PR) and is preparing for the implementation of the second stage. As part of the first stage, a model of the system was developed that provides for the possibility of registering breeding animals of three species in it," the press service explained.

They also noted that the training stage for working with the system in four "pilot" regions is currently being completed. From the second half of the year, all regions of the country will be able to work in it.

The second stage of the creation of FGIAS PR is scheduled for 2025-2026. As a result of this stage, it is planned to ensure the registration of 13 species of breeding animals bred in 89 regions of the country. Starting from March 1, 2026, registration of breeding stock in the FGIAS PR will become mandatory. It is predicted that the system will include more than 2.2 thousand enterprises.

The creation and operation of the FGIAS PR will allow registering both breeding animals and herds, keeping records of breeding farms, monitoring the issuance of certificates for the import of breeding products, as well as analyzing and processing the collected data. It will also help reduce the burden on businesses in terms of reporting: through the system, you can receive government services in electronic format.

In dairy and beef cattle breeding, sheep breeding, pig breeding, goat breeding, horse breeding, reindeer breeding, animal husbandry, camel breeding and egg breeding, the main objects of registration will be breeding animals, while in other sub-sectors — breeding herds.

Earlier, on March 19, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported that an agrotechnological education profile would appear in Russian schools. The ministry explained that educational institutions will be able to officially create specialized classes for training future personnel for the agro-industrial complex (AIC). Students will be able to get to know the industry better, visit agricultural enterprises and learn about modern technologies in agriculture.
