The online encyclopedia "Ruviki" has updated the project "Our heroes - our history" for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The website contains 14,000 biographies, and sections of the project are dedicated to people who have been awarded the titles of "Hero of the USSR" and "Hero of Russia."

This is the only library of its kind in Russia, and it was assembled in partnership with the Volunteers of Victory organization.

In addition, the site has officially surpassed Wikipedia in terms of the number of articles. So, as of May 6, "Ruviki" contains more than 2 million 114 thousand articles, and "Wikipedia" — 2 million 43 thousand materials.

"It is important not only the number of articles, but also their quality. Last year alone, the Russian Academy of Sciences reviewed more than 10,000 encyclopedia materials in the categories of history, physics, and medicine. And this is not counting other expert partners who work with the encyclopedia," says Vladimir Medeyko, CEO of Ruviki.

Earlier it became known that in 2025 the Internet encyclopedia will present a series of technological updates. Personalization will be improved, a convenient rubricator will be implemented, and quizzes will be presented so that users can immediately test their knowledge. You can already listen to the articles of "Ruviki" in audio format.

At the end of 2024, Ruviki introduced Yandex GPT, becoming the first Russian encyclopedia with integrated artificial intelligence. The neural network formulates a quick answer to a question, retells it in different styles, and summarizes long materials to a key extract. The attendance of the resource for the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 22 million people.
