Gazprom-Media Holding received the award "For an innovative approach to information Security" at the first Kaspersky Future Conference, held in St. Petersburg in mid-April.

The company was awarded for the implementation of a monitoring system, correlation of information security events and related nuances. Sergey Kosinsky, Deputy General Director and head of the digital unit of the holding, noted in a comment to Izvestia that cybersecurity had been strengthened thanks to the development of innovations based on artificial intelligence.

"The security infrastructure of our sites allows us to ensure the availability of services and content security around the clock. We will continue to improve our systems, increasing protection and developing new algorithms," added Sergey Kosinsky.

Kaspersky Future Conference was held on 16-18. The event participants discussed the key trends in global cyber threats that will persist in this area in the coming years. The conference was attended by representatives of 230 organizations from Russia and the CIS. They include executives and information security specialists from large and medium-sized companies, technology partners and security solution providers, experts, analysts and researchers from the field of IT and cybersecurity.

In early April, Sergey Kosinsky reported a decrease in the number of cyber attacks on Rutube, which is part of the holding's digital unit.

"100% of the attacks on the performance of our video hosting systems were successfully repelled without affecting users. The largest cyberattack on Rutube was carried out and successfully repelled in October last year — its capacity was 1 terabit per second — to generate an attack of this scale, a botnet network of hundreds of thousands of devices is needed," the top manager noted.
