Sometimes only the lack of Internet helps to let the phone out of your hands. On March 27, the Tutu travel service told Izvestia about where it is possible to do this and where it is worth going.

So, one of the suitable places to take a break from social media and put the gadget far away in a backpack is Lake Baikal in the Irkutsk region. According to experts, for privacy, it is better to avoid popular tourist routes (Listvyanka, Olkhon) and find a more secluded place: for example, Cape Kotelnikovsky in the north of Lake Baikal, Chivyrkuy Bay or Tunka Valley. You can set up a tent in these locations or rent a hut from local residents in the taiga.

Activities include hiking, fishing, picking berries and herbs, swimming in icy water or in the Goujekit and Hakusa hot springs, meditation and yoga by the lake water. It is convenient to choose Irkutsk as the starting point for a trip to Lake Baikal, where the average cost of a hotel room is 3.5 thousand rubles.

You can also enjoy the silence and forget about phone calls, meetings and other Internet tasks in Karelia. There are several national parks and nature reserves there: for example, Paanajarvi is one of the most remote corners of the republic, where there are almost no people. At the same time, you can visit the ancient nature reserve with Kivach Waterfall, where you can rent a house in the vicinity. In addition, Koyonsaari Island is suitable for camping.

In addition, there are ancient Pomeranian villages in the Belomorsky district where you can rent housing. The capital of Karelia is Petrozavodsk, from here you can get to any location. The average check for a hotel room here is about 4.3 thousand rubles.

The service also noted that communication in the mountains of Ossetia is often very poor or absent altogether, so there are many secluded places in this place where you can forget about gadgets and relax. Travelers can visit the famous Karmadon gorge, Kadargavan Canyon, Tsey Gorge, Midagraba waterfalls. Everywhere there is an opportunity to pitch a tent or rent a campsite. You can also completely break away from civilization in the Digor gorge, the village of Nar, the abandoned mountain village of Galiate or the almost deserted Lisri. You can get to all the locations from Vladikavkaz, the average cost of a hotel in the capital of Ossetia is 3720 rubles.

Another place is the small village of Teriberka in the Murmansk region. There you can rent a guest house with a view of the sea or a base on the outskirts, or set up a tent on the beach or rent a house in the tundra. Tourists can walk along the shores of the Barents Sea, visit the waterfall that flows directly into the ocean, the "graveyard of ships", and wander alone along the sand dunes. In addition, you can go to the tundra, fish, ride dog sleds and hunt for the northern lights. The average cost of renting a house in Teriberka is 11.6 thousand rubles.

The experts also noted the Altai Republic. To stay in silence and relieve stress, you can go to Teletskoye or Multinsky lakes, or to the Uimon valley — there you can live in a house with Old Believers, where there is definitely no Wi-Fi. You can swim in the warm season or wander through the pine forest in the vicinity of Lake Aya. You can look at the Stone mushrooms in the Chulyshman Valley — there are no crowds of tourists there and there is no connection there either. To spend the night in Gorno-Altaysk, you will have to pay an average of 3.9 thousand rubles per day.

Evgenia Andrianova, Head of SMM and Influencer marketing at Tutu, clarified that the length of time off the Internet is an individual matter.

"I advise you to go camping outside the city or in the mountains, where the connection is worse. Why this is so: there is a fact confirmed by research that it is easier for our brain to get used to restrictions when there is no source of temptation. When the source of temptation (in our case, a smartphone) is unavailable (the signal is weak and you cannot access the network), self-control is much easier. In the mountains or in other places where communication does not work very well, this is the easiest thing to do," she added.

Earlier, on February 23, OneTwoTrip, a travel planning service, told Izvestia about popular spring destinations. According to their information, Russians often choose Sochi, Lake Ladoga and Dagestan for recreation. Experts singled out Egypt, Japan and Turkey among the foreign destinations.
