The expert called the economically unprofitable months for building a house

Building a house in Russia can cost 30-40% more if you do not take into account seasonal fluctuations in prices for materials and services. Pavel Kokarev, a process engineer at the Porevit plant, told Izvestia on March 27.
According to him, the prices of building materials strongly depend on the time of the year. For example, aerated concrete has already risen in price by 10.2% since the beginning of the year, and by the peak of demand in the second half of summer, its cost may increase by another 14-15%.
In addition, the largest price increases are observed for materials that are difficult or expensive to use out of season: cement, bricks, building blocks. In spring, concrete and foundation filling services become more expensive, and in summer, lumber, rebar, and the work of construction crews. In autumn, the demand for insulation materials, roofing and finishing materials increases.
The expert advises purchasing materials in advance — in winter or early spring, when prices are lower. It is also more profitable to conclude contracts with contractors until the middle of spring, while construction companies offer discounts for the formation of a work plan.
"The most expensive months for construction are summer, especially July and August. In winter, some of the materials can be purchased cheaper due to low demand," Kokarev summed up.
Earlier, on January 25, it was reported that the risks of a sharp rise in the cost of private homes in Russia have increased due to the fact that it has become much more difficult to obtain approval for a soft loan application from banks. For some banks, this is a necessary measure: in this way they cover their risks when issuing preferential loans. Because of this, there are risks of an increase in the cost of construction and purchase of ready-made country houses by 6-15%.
