Mishustin announced the failure of anti-Russian sanctions in the energy sector

Western anti-Russian sanctions have failed to harm Russia's position in the global energy market. This was announced on March 26 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"In principle, external sanctions have not achieved their goals and the goals of their actors in the energy sector. Russia has retained its influence on the global market in this sector," he said, addressing the State Duma with an annual report on the work of the government.
According to Mishustin, the Russian Federation was able to independently master a number of sanctioned technologies related to oil and gas production and processing. The role of domestic technology in the electric power industry is also high — the share of Russian equipment in modern substations and transmission lines has already exceeded 90%.
Earlier, on March 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian entrepreneurs had successfully adapted to the Western sanctions mechanisms by creating alternative ways of interacting with foreign partners. The Head of state called the restrictions an additional catalyst for positive changes in the Russian economy.
