The largest banquet hall in St. Petersburg will appear in the building of the Stock Exchange

In St. Petersburg, a memorial hall named after Prince and Commander Alexander Nevsky is being equipped in the Stock Exchange building on Strelka Vasilyevsky Island. It will become the largest ceremonial hall in the Northern Capital.

Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director General of the State Hermitage Museum, told TASS that the hall will include three formats. There will be an exhibition of battle paintings, banners and military attributes, which will depict the historical victories of Russia, in the same tradition as in the ceremonial halls of the Winter Palace. Modern ceremonies will be held in the hall. In addition, it will become a kind of "tent for mass multimedia performances."

78 TV channel clarifies that in December 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova presented Vladimir Putin with the concept of the future museum formation7 of the Stock Exchange building. It is planned to turn it into a full-fledged branch of the Hermitage Museum.

At the end of February, it was reported that the historical complex of the Kresty pre-trial detention center in St. Petersburg was bought out at auction for 1.136 billion rudders. The KVS Group of Companies (GC) became the new owner of the famous historical building. The owner intends to carry out the restoration of the iconic architectural object and make it a center of cultural life accessible to the public. A museum, a hotel complex, galleries, restaurants and other public spaces will be built in the former prison building.
