Sinomach Auto Concern has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Lixiang (Li Auto) and has started forming a dealer network in Russia. Three models will enter the market — the L6, L7 and L9 crossovers, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on March 26.

The completion of certification and the start of official car sales in the Russian Federation is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. It is expected that the first official Li Auto dealers in Russia will open before the end of the year, and the first batch of L6, L7 and L9 models will be certified and receive Vehicle Type Approval (OTTC) by October.

"Sinomach Auto has a multi-brand strategy in Russia. With the introduction of Li Auto SUVs in our portfolio, the network of authorized dealers will be significantly expanded, and the leaders of the Russian retail industry will appear in it," said Dmitry Rotkin, Director of the dealer network Development Department, Deputy head of the Sinomach Auto branch in Russia, Hyperion Leasing (Tianjin).

Sinomach Auto will be engaged in the certification of Li Auto models for the Russian market, as well as for other countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union, the company noted. Since 2023, the concern has been introducing Oting SUVs in Russia, supplied from the Zhengzhou Nissan plant, and since 2024, Rox Motors SUVs manufactured at the BAW (Beijing Automobile Works) plant.

On February 10, Sinomach Auto Concern announced the start of global export and trade cooperation with Xiaomi Auto, whose cars are also planned to be introduced to the Russian market.
