Ilan Shor called illegal the detention of the head of Gagauzia Hutsul

Ilan Shor, the leader of the Pobeda opposition bloc, said on March 26 that the authorities had no legal grounds for detaining the head of the Gagauz Autonomy, Yevgenia Hutsul.
"Evgenia Hutsul is still being held in the dungeons of the regime. There are no legal grounds for detention," Shor wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the politician, Guluc's detention is a lawlessness that continues "at the behest of the Moldovan authorities."
The leader of Pobeda also said that the detention was based on repression against the bloc's parties and the opposition.
"They are making a movie about the "terrible" opposition. They let in the pocket media. A whole squad of pocket prosecutors and security forces was sent to detain the fragile girl," concluded Shor.
The detention of Hutsul at the Chisinau airport without explanation became known on March 25. It was later clarified that the staff of the National Police of Moldova detained her for 72 hours. The Pobeda block reported that the head of Gagauzia was supposed to fly to Istanbul, where she had meetings scheduled. According to Yuri Kuznetsov, Deputy Head of External Relations of Gagauzia, the Hutsuls were stopped at border control and taken to a room for additional inspection.
