- In the DPR, 19 schools and 16 kindergartens will return to full-time education from March 31.

Schools and kindergartens in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) will return to full-time education and full-time work for the first time in several years. This was announced on March 26 by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
Educational institutions were switched to a remote format in 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, and later attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on peaceful cities were not allowed to work.
As the Russian military personnel advanced, it became possible to reopen kindergartens and schools. As noted in the leadership of the republic, depending on the situation, the decision may be reviewed.
"Based on the opinion and position of the participants of the defense headquarters, a decision is being made to open or, for the time being, maybe, based on the circumstances, to extend the remote mode. We try to find opportunities everywhere to open up and switch to full—time education, but, again, we focus on precautionary measures," Pushilin said.
On March 31, 19 schools and 16 kindergartens of the DPR will return to their usual working hours, including in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Volnovakha and Yasinovataya. They will open when they are fully staffed and catering is organized. 65 colleges and technical schools will also resume full-time education.
In August 2024, during a working trip to the Kursk Region, Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov announced the transfer of some regional schools to a mixed learning format. This decision was made against the background of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on the region on August 6.
