Six Russians were injured in a fire on a Russian ship off the coast of South Korea

A fire broke out on the Russian ship Crystal Asia off the coast of South Korea near Busan, six Russian citizens were injured. This was announced on March 26 by the Russian Consulate General in the city.

The incident occurred at 07:14 local time (01:14 Moscow time), 8 km from Busan. It is indicated that of the 23 crew members, 22 had Russian citizenship.

"Six Russians were injured, two of them in serious condition. All the injured were promptly taken to medical institutions in Busan," the Consulate General's Telegram channel reported.

The Russian diplomatic institution maintains contact with local authorities.

Earlier, on March 10, a tanker and a container ship Solong collided off the northeast coast of England, and a large fire broke out. Sky News channel announced the rescue of all 37 sailors on board the ships, but later it was reported that one of them was missing.

According to the Russian Embassy in the UK, there were five Russians on board the cargo ship, one of them the captain, who was charged with manslaughter. All Russian citizens are alive and unharmed, the diplomatic mission added.
