A crew of the Kornet anti-tank missile system (ATGM) of the Airborne artillery unit of the Dnepr group of Forces destroyed a signal repeater of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a flooded sea transport near the Kinburnskaya Spit at the entrance from the Black Sea to the Dnieper estuary. This was announced on March 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian militants installed a signal repeater on a ship destroyed in 2024 and not completely sunk, designed to increase the flight range of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for attacks on peaceful settlements on the left bank of the Kherson region.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Kornet crew moved to the coastline, deployed an anti-tank complex, aimed it at the target and launched a missile, hitting the target from a distance of more than 6 thousand meters from the firing position. The result of the defeat was recorded by means of objective control. At the same time, the target was completely destroyed by the repeated launch of the rocket.

ATGMs are capable of hitting various targets, including fortifications, FPV drone crews and enemy armored vehicles, the ministry added.

On March 25, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Hyacinth-B cannon of the Dnepr group of forces struck an M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a forest belt in the Orekhovsky direction of the Zaporizhia region during a counter-battery struggle.
