Trump announced that great progress has been made at the talks in Riyadh.

A lot of progress has been achieved in the negotiations in Riyadh. This was announced on March 25 by US President Donald Trump.

"We have made great progress on both fronts. <...> Let's see where it leads. We are in deep discussions with Russia and Ukraine, and I would say they are progressing well," he told reporters at the White House.

When asked about the Black Sea agreements, Trump replied that the implementation of the armistice agreement in the Black Sea is the least of all problems. He also stressed that third countries are actively involved in the process.

It became known what Moscow and Washington agreed on during 12-hour consultations in Riyadh.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on March 25 that Russia supports negotiations with the United States in all areas, including sports. He noted that the Russian-American dialogue on strategic stability needs to be restored, and this can only be done on the basis of the principles of the Strategic Offensive Arms Reduction Treaty (START Treaty). Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, noted that Russia and the United States would continue contacts after the talks in Riyadh.
