The head of the Gagauz Autonomy, Evgenia Gutsul, was detained at the Chisinau airport for several hours without explanation. This was reported on March 25 by the First in Moldova TV channel, citing sources.
"The bashkan of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, is not allowed to leave Moldova. According to our sources, Yevgenia Hutsul's passport was taken away, a full search was carried out, and they have been holding her at Chisinau airport for about three hours without explaining the reasons," the newspaper said in a Telegram channel message.
