According to the initiative, the status of a combat veteran can be assigned to a journalist who has performed editorial assignments for a registered media outlet within the framework of their own.

Sergei Mironov separately noted that military personnel who work in the SVO zone often become victims of targeted attacks by the Ukrainian military.

"Hitting those who tell the truth is the policy of the Kiev regime. Our guys know this very well, but they still go to the front line and honorably fulfill their civic and journalistic duties. I am sure that the state should support and help those who fight on the information front, protect our society from lies and expose the war crimes of neo—Nazis," Sergei Mironov explained to Izvestia.
