He welcomes the agreements reached by Russia, the United States and Ukraine on the Black Sea. This was announced on March 25 at a briefing by the representative of the Secretary General of the World Organization, Stephane Dujarric.

"We have seen two statements that are obviously welcome," TASS quoted him as saying.

He also noted that the UN considers it premature to share any information about its participation in ensuring the safety of navigation in the Black Sea.

"It's too early to share any additional information," said the representative of the Secretary General.

On the same day, during negotiations in Riyadh, Russia and the United States agreed to ensure safe navigation, exclude the use of force and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. America will continue to facilitate negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine with a view to a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Earlier on March 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that first of all, issues of safe navigation in the Black Sea were discussed at the talks between the Russian and American delegations in Riyadh.

The minister noted that this is not the first attempt. He recalled that the first one was undertaken in July 2022, when UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed on a common package with representatives of Russian and Ukrainian structures.
