Putin called the pace of development of Russian cinema good

Russian President Vladimir Putin considers the pace that Russia has gained in the development of Russian cinema to be good. He stated this on March 25 at the Council for Culture and the Arts.

According to the head of state, 298 films were completed in 2024. He also noted an increase in domestic cinema viewing statistics, which increased by 10%. The number of people who watch Russian films has grown to 100 million.

Vladimir Putin also proposed introducing cinema into the school curriculum. According to him, close attention should be paid to mandatory screenings of domestic films.
