The new version of the Valdai 12 truck was presented in Of Russia


A new modification of special equipment with a crane manipulator unit has been built on the basis of the Valdai 12 chassis. The vehicle is designed for transporting goods and carrying out loading and unloading operations without using additional equipment. Machines of this type are in demand in logistics, construction, and public utilities, according to a statement from Modern Transport Technologies (CTT), which was received by Izvestia on March 25.
The modification is based on the Valdai 12 long-wheelbase chassis. With a car length of 9153 mm, its turning radius is 8.4 m. The car is equipped with a YaMZ-534 diesel engine (169 hp; 662 Nm) paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The car is equipped with a four-section cable crane manipulator unit. The total weight of the transported cargo is up to 5,120 kg. The maximum boom reach is 10.25 m, the minimum is 2.5 m. The load capacity at the maximum reach is 400 kg, at the minimum — 3200 kg. The on-board platform can accommodate up to 14 standard Euro pallets.
Saransk Dump Truck Plant produces vehicles based on various models of the Valdai family, a range of dump trucks, tow trucks, food and fuel tanks, as well as utility vehicles based on the Gazon Next and Gazelle NEXT chassis.
On March 20, production of the new Valdai 18 bonnetless truck started in Nizhny Novgorod. It is designed for short- and medium-haul transportation, public utilities, and solving various economic and business tasks in an urban environment.
On March 17, the Saransk Dump Truck Plant, together with STT, presented a dump truck with three-sided unloading on the chassis of a Valdai 12 bonnetless truck.
