The first Russian Department of shooting and archery was opened in Chita

The first archery department in Russia appeared in Chita. It was organized on the basis of the Trans-Baikal State University, according to the Telegram channel of the regional Ministry of Sports on Tuesday, March 25.

The agreement was signed between the university and the Archery Federation. It involves working together in the field of educational programs, organizing training sessions, competitions and tournaments.

According to ChitaMedia news agency, the department was opened not only to teach students the basics of archery, but also to train trainers in this area.

It is assumed that the initiative will influence the development of sports culture and attract young people to a healthy lifestyle.

Earlier in February, it was reported that an archery center would be built in Chita under the concession. The object will appear in the area of the Lokomotiv stadium.
