The volume of vegetable supplies from Georgia to the Stavropol Territory has increased 10-fold since the beginning of 2025 compared to the same period a year earlier. This was announced on Tuesday, March 25, by the North Caucasus Interregional Rosselkhoznadzor Administration.

Since the beginning of this year, experts have monitored the import of more than 10,000 tons of Georgian products at the air checkpoint at Mineralnye Vody Airport. Potatoes and pumpkins accounted for the bulk of the cargo.

Before being imported to the region, all vegetables underwent laboratory tests, writes StavropolMedia news agency. The results showed that the cargo met the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of Russia.

In early March, it was reported that Stavropol had sent 100,000 apple saplings to India. Previously, Russian apple trees were not supplied to this country.
