Palestinian President Abbas will visit Moscow on May 9.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will take part in events dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day in Moscow. This was announced on March 25 by the Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdelhafiz Nofal.

"President Abbas will be here on May 9th. He's coming," he told RIA Novosti.

According to Nofal, the Palestinian side has sent an official letter to the Kremlin notifying Abbas of his intention to participate in Victory Day events.

Last November, the President of Palestine received an invitation to visit Russia for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day celebrations in 2025. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin added that Russia would be glad to see Abbas in Moscow on the occasion of the Victory anniversary.
