A gap in the road has been fixed in the center of Chita

The sinkhole was repaired on Verkholenskaya Street in Chita. It appeared at the site of work on laying water supply networks, which were carried out in winter. This was reported on Tuesday, March 25, in the Telegram channel of the regional Ministry of Construction.

Two days earlier, it had rained in the city and the ground on the road had sunk, writes ChitaMedia news agency. The pit was eliminated by specialists of the Region Stroy company.

As explained by Ruslan Namtaev, the head of the project, it was not possible to properly compact the ground in winter, which caused sinkholes to form on the road with the onset of heat. The ground will be compacted soon, and then the asphalt surface will be restored.

Earlier in March, it was reported that Chita plans to build a road in the Amursky microdistrict. The land plot on which asphalt will be laid is already on the balance sheet of the regional capital.
