The "child of the Millennium" from China, Qianqian, died at the age of 25

The "child of the Millennium" Qianqian, who was born at the turn of the 2nd and 3rd millennia in China, died at the age of 25. This was reported on March 24 by the Global Times newspaper.
According to the publication, the girl was born at exactly 23:59 on December 31, 1999, just at the moment when the countdown to midnight began, which made her the "child of the millennium." Therefore, her mother named her "Qianqian," where "Qian" means "millennial."
"Qianqian's mother posted an obituary on her social media account, in which she announced that her daughter had died at the age of 25 due to sudden cardiac arrest," the article says.
It is specified that on March 3, the girl had a fever and abdominal pain, and on March 8 she returned to her native Changzhi, an urban district in Shanxi Province, for treatment. The next day, on March 9th, she fell into a coma and died later that night.
Earlier, on October 6, 2024, the longest-lived person with premature aging syndrome, Sammy Basso, died at the age of 28. It is emphasized that the disease affects one newborn out of 8 million. There are only 130 cases of classical progeria in the world, of which four are in Italy.
