The details of the negotiations between the US and Russian delegations on Ukraine in Riyadh will not be discussed with the press, as at this stage it was only a technical round. This was announced on March 25 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"After all, we are talking about technical negotiations. Technical negotiations are negotiations with immersion in details, so, of course, the content of these negotiations will definitely not be made public. This should not be expected," the press secretary of the head of state explained at a briefing.

He added that the information that the parties discussed with each other is now being analyzed. After that, the participants in the dialogue should come to an understanding of the situation. Further, Russia and the United States intend to continue contacts at the highest level.

At the same time, new talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump are not yet planned, but such a conversation may occur in the leaders' schedule if necessary, the spokesman explained.

The talks between the Russian and American expert groups in Riyadh took place on March 24. They lasted 12 hours. Grigory Karasin, a member of the Russian delegation and Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, described the meeting as a difficult but useful dialogue. According to him, during the negotiations, the parties touched upon many problems, but not all were resolved.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov later said that first of all, the issues of safe navigation in the Black Sea were discussed at the talks between the Russian and American delegations. He stressed that the Russian side supports the resumption of the Black Sea initiative in a form more acceptable to all, while Moscow cannot take Kiev's word for it on this issue.
