The preliminary cause of the explosion at a mobile phone store in Makhachkala was a gas leak on an underground gas pipeline. This was announced on March 25 by the Ministry of Energy of Dagestan.

Earlier in the day, it became known about a fire in the building of a cellular communication store on Imam Shamil Avenue. As a result of the incident, four people were injured.
