A criminal case was opened into the wounding of TASS journalist Mikhail Skuratov in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 25 by the press service of the Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU TFR).
It is specified that the criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 205 and Part 3 of Article 144 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act, obstruction of the legitimate professional activity of a journalist").
The investigation establishes the circumstances of the incident and the persons from among the Ukrainian servicemen involved in the commission of the crime.
On March 24, Alexander Khinshtein, Acting Governor of the Kursk region, reported that a TASS correspondent was injured in the Sudzhansky district of the region. The journalist suffered a mine explosion injury and a shrapnel wound to his left shin as a result of an attack on one of the villages of the border region.
