A woman was detained in the Kherson region on suspicion of justifying terrorism.

The Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kherson region has suppressed the illegal activities of a woman born in 1973, who is suspected of publicly justifying terrorism and actions threatening the security of the state. This was announced on March 25 in the department.

"The investigation found that in April and August 2023, the suspect posted publications on her social network page that called for treason and desertion, as well as a statement justifying terrorism," the report says.

The woman is suspected of publicly calling for terrorist activities, publicly justifying terrorism, and publicly calling for activities against the security of the State.

Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of her activities and identify criminal connections.

Earlier, on March 11, it was reported that FSB officers detained a resident of the Belgorod region who planned to commit a terrorist attack in the city of Valuiki and poison military personnel. It was established that the 49-year-old man, on his own initiative, established contact with representatives of a recognized terrorist organization in the Russian Federation.
