The negotiations between the Russian and US delegations in Riyadh became a difficult but useful dialogue. This was announced on March 25 by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

"Everything was discussed, there was a rich, difficult dialogue, but it was very useful for us and for the Americans," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, during the negotiations, the parties discussed many problems, but not all were resolved. The senator clarified that the Russian side did not agree with everything.

Karasin noted that the conversation took place in a timely manner, taking into account the coming to power of the new administration and politicians in the United States.

In addition, Karasin said that negotiations between Moscow and Washington will continue with the participation of the international community, including the United Nations and individual countries, adds "Газета.Ru ".

Negotiations between the Russian and American expert groups took place on March 24 in Riyadh. They lasted 12 hours. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that no documents were scheduled to be signed following the talks.

Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Michael Waltz said on March 23 that Washington and Moscow would discuss territorial issues, as well as the cessation of hostilities in the Black Sea and the resumption of trade along it.
