The UN Security Council will hold a meeting on Ukraine on March 26. The corresponding date is indicated on the organization's website.

The Danish permanent Mission to the United Nations, in an interview with TASS, clarified that the meeting "was requested by a number of Security Council members with the support of others."

On March 24, the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations announced that Russia would raise the issue of the deaths of Russian journalists as a result of attacks by Ukrainian militants during the next Security Council meeting. The deputy official representative of the UN Secretary General, Farhan Haq, in turn, called for an investigation into the death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, which became known on the same day. As a result of the shelling, Andrei Panov, a cameraman for the Zvezda TV channel, and Alexander Sirkeli, the driver of the film crew, were also killed.
