It is necessary to introduce a single social card for all pensioners in Russia. This was stated to RIA Novosti on March 25 by a State Duma deputy, leader of the Fair Russia – For Truth party Sergey Mironov.

"We need a single-sample social card that operates throughout the country. <...> We have a single pension legislation in our country, uniform social security deductions, and the same rights for all pensioners, and I consider it unfair... The practice is when the social card ceases to operate outside the region," he said.

The deputy recalled that the proposal to introduce a Unified social card for citizens of the Russian Federation, which gives the right to free public transport and other benefits for all pre-retirees and pensioners of the country, regardless of their place of permanent residence, is prescribed in the program of the SRWP party.

The politician also said that State Duma deputies from his faction will prepare a legislative initiative providing for the introduction of a Unified social card for Russian pensioners.

On March 4, Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said that after reaching the age of 80, the fixed part of the old-age pension payment doubles.
