The calculation of the Hyacinth-B gun of the Dnepr group of forces during the counter-battery struggle hit the M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a forest belt in the Orekhovsky direction of the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on March 25 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, according to aerial reconnaissance data, the coordinates of the target detected after strikes on Russian positions were transferred to the calculation. Then the gunners quickly aimed the gun and opened fire, hitting the enemy's howitzer. At the same time, the enemy crew was eliminated.

"The M777 is the most basic, the Paladins were self—propelled, these are the most basic that are found," said a senior officer of an artillery battery with the call sign Topol.

It is reported that the reconnaissance and correction of fire by aerial unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) plays a huge role in counter-battery warfare.

In addition, Russian gunners perform firing missions to destroy self-propelled armored vehicles, fortified positions of artillery batteries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroy defensive structures, suppress command posts and destroy enemy firepower.

On March 24, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Sakhalin servicemen of the 39th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 68th Army Corps were able to capture and evacuate damaged Western-made armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the American MaxxPro armored personnel carrier, the French Renault APC and the Kozak armored vehicle. At the same time, the evacuation group worked in high-risk conditions.
