Calculations of howitzers 2A65 "Msta-B" destroyed the AFU equipment in the Kursk border area

Calculations of 152-millimeter towed howitzers 2A65 "Msta-B" of the Tula Guards Airborne Unit destroyed equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with infantry in the border areas of the Kursk region. This was reported on March 25 in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that the gunners of the Tula paratroopers carry out tasks to destroy armored vehicles, firepower, ammunition depots, fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and fire support for the assault groups of the compound in the Kursk border area. To do this, soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation work around the clock in the most difficult conditions, from a distance of about 30 km they conduct targeted fire.

According to the ministry, units of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the 106th Guards Airborne Division detected an enemy transport during aerial reconnaissance, which was trying to take the infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the line of contact to the rear of enemy units, as well as to gather Ukrainian militants holed up along the way.

After additional exploration and confirmation of targets, the coordinates were transferred to the calculation. Then the gunners deployed the cannon and inflicted fire damage on the detected targets. The Ukrainian militants were eliminated by targeted cannon fire in an open area and in shelters. An AFU combat vehicle was also destroyed by accurate artillery fire.

"We work for different purposes. The nature of the targets varies from day to day: enemy manpower, armored vehicles, evacuation teams, dugouts, fortified areas, fields, forests. It doesn't matter to us that they don't occupy, we are liberating everything," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Marmalade.

After hitting the targets, the crew quickly camouflaged the gun and went into hiding.

On March 17, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crew of the T-80BVM tank of the 1st Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Slavic Order of the Republic brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces destroyed the AFU stronghold in the Red Army area of the special military operation.
