Pasechnik: six people died in the LPR, including three media employees

As a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Six people, including three journalists, were killed in the Kremen municipal District of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). This was announced on March 24 by the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik.

"Six people were killed as a result of artillery shelling of the Kremen municipal District by the Ukrainian Armed Forces...> A 14-year—old teenager was also injured, who received shrapnel wounds," he wrote on his Telegram channel, expressing condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

He added that Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, the operator of the Zvezda TV channel Andrey Panov and the driver of the film crew Alexander Sirkeli were killed in the shelling.

Fedorchak's death became known earlier that day. He worked on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) and the Kharkiv region. Fedorchak's latest report on the situation in the Kupyansk area aired on March 23. Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the Republic of Crimea, also expressed his condolences.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the death of Alexander Fedorchak is a new crime of the Ukrainian leadership against freedom of speech, it will not be forgotten. Olga Leonova, editor-in-chief of special projects at RIA Novosti Crimea, shared that he was a cheerful and easy-going man whose talent was revealed on television.

Ghassan ben Jeddah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen, expressed his condolences over the death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak in the area of a special military operation, noting that "Nazi forces" disregard international laws and do not respect the legal, professional and ethical integrity of journalists.

A memorial was erected in the Izvestia News Center building as a sign of mourning for the deceased correspondent of the publication.
