The Palestinian Hamas movement is discussing with the mediators the possibility of concluding a new agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages. A source in the movement told Izvestia about this.

"We demonstrate a high level of flexibility in our approach to negotiations. We continue to communicate with intermediaries and respond positively to their initiatives," he said.

Earlier on March 18, the Israel Defense Forces announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. As a result of the IDF airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310.
