New mirror duties on US imports may be extended to Russia. This was reported on March 24 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

The publication noted that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, plans on April 2 to increase duties for G20 countries with which there is a trade imbalance. At the same time, these countries include Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, India, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Vietnam, Russia and other countries.

However, the newspaper clarified that the final decisions may be quite flexible.

The Politico newspaper reported on March 20 that the members of the European Union did not agree on retaliatory measures to the tariffs imposed by Trump. It was noted that France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Ireland opposed the further escalation of trade conflicts.
