The UN called for an investigation into the death of Izvestia correspondent Fedorchak

On March 24, the deputy official representative of the UN Secretary General, Farhan Haq, called for an investigation into the death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak.

"We oppose all murders of journalists and want all of them to be thoroughly investigated," Haq told RIA Novosti in response to a question.

The death of Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak became known earlier that day. According to preliminary data, he died as a result of an artillery strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The journalist worked on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) and the Kharkiv region.
