The State Duma proposed to tighten the rules for walking dangerous dogs

Deputies have developed a new bill, according to which children and people under the influence of alcohol will be prohibited from walking dangerous breeds of dogs. This was announced on March 24 by State Duma Deputy Alexander Spiridonov at a meeting of the working group on improving legislation aimed at protecting citizens from attacks by stray animals.

"The number of animals represented there is extremely limited. Therefore, first of all, we ask the government to reconsider their approach and nevertheless add other animal breeds that may pose a danger," TASS quoted him as saying.

The parliamentarian noted that minors will be able to walk such animals if they are accompanied by one of their legal representatives. At the moment, the list of dangerous dogs includes 12 breeds.

He will monitor the implementation of laws and promptly respond to problems.

Earlier, on March 17, it became known that in Russia fines for dog walking will be increased to 50 thousand rubles. Currently, the maximum fine is 3 thousand rubles for individuals and 30 thousand rubles for legal entities.
