Pulmonologist, PhD Ivan Tarasenko listed the first symptoms of tuberculosis.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Monday, March 24, the specialist noted that tuberculosis is still a difficult disease in terms of diagnosis and treatment.

"Tuberculosis can occur in any organ. Only tuberculosis of the hair is not described," the doctor emphasized.

According to him, the specific signs of pulmonary tuberculosis include prolonged cough, low fever, malaise, and fatigue. Meanwhile, Tarasenko warned, these signs can be attributed to any disease, and only X-ray imaging and computed tomography can accurately determine the presence of the disease.

It is not always possible to diagnose tuberculosis at an early stage, since even various tests are not always correct. Healthy people do not need to have regular CT scans, but if they cough for a long time (dry or with sputum), the appropriate decision should be made by the attending physician.
