A court in Ivanovo sentenced 14 members of a drug gang.

The Ivanovo Regional Court sentenced 14 members of the criminal community involved in the production of drugs. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
"The court sentenced the members of the criminal community to imprisonment for terms from 10 to 20 years to be served in correctional colonies of general and strict regimes," the agency said in a statement on its website.
The statement notes that the criminal community was created back in 2019 with the aim of systematically profiting from the production and sale of drugs. It consisted of residents of Ivanovo, Moscow, Saratov, Volgograd and several other regions. They were engaged in the supply of precursors and equipment for the production of drugs, their production and packaging.
"In total, from April 2019 to May 2020, more than 90 kg of narcotic substances were produced in two drug laboratories in the Puchezhsky and Kineshemsky districts of the Ivanovo region. During the suppression of criminal activity, drugs and their precursors were withdrawn from circulation," the ministry said.
According to the press service, the head of the community was sentenced to life imprisonment to serve his sentence in a special regime colony, other convicts were fined from 200,000 to 2.4 million rubles, as well as restrictions on freedom.
Earlier, on March 21, it became known that the Russian Federal Security Service had detained the organizers of drug laboratories in the Vladimir and Smolensk regions. The attackers sold illegal substances over the Internet. The detainees were given a preventive measure in the form of detention. The defendants face life imprisonment.
