- In Kyrgyzstan, reckless drivers will be tested for knowledge of traffic regulations at the scene of the violation.

Since September 1, Kyrgyzstan has introduced a procedure for verifying the knowledge of traffic rules for drivers who violate the rules right at the stop. This was announced on March 24 by presidential press secretary Askat Alagozov. If the violator is unable to answer questions related to traffic regulations, his driver's license will be temporarily withdrawn, he stressed. It will be possible to return it after passing the tests again in the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, the press secretary of the head of state specified.
"After the 90s, many people got driver's licenses without even studying traffic regulations. Unfortunately, many got their rights not through training, but through purchase. Only 20-30% of drivers actually passed the exams. Until 2020, driver's licenses were massively sold for 15-20 thousand soms. Now this practice has been completely stopped, and everyone gets their rights only after training," Alagozov explained the need for such a measure on his Facebook page (he is a member of Meta, an organization recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
He noted that the number of deaths on the roads is in the hundreds. Because of those who do not know traffic regulations, children become orphans, parents lose their sons and daughters, experiencing terrible tragedies. Many people become disabled, said the press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
Alagozov noted that according to preliminary information, at the first referral for testing, the driver will have to pay 500 soms (approximately 480 rubles). If he does not hand over and comes a second time, he will have to pay 1,000 soms, and 2,000 soms for the third time. You will have to pay 4 thousand soms for the fourth attempt. According to Alagozov, the drivers' knowledge testing process will be filmed.
"There are still five months left until September 1. For those who do not know traffic regulations well, we advise you to start learning them now," he reminded.
Earlier it became known that the minimum base rate of the CTP insurance tariff for Russia and Belarus for passenger vehicles will be 3,400 rubles, and the maximum — 3,590 rubles.
