The Ministry of Finance called the level of use of domestic software by state-owned companies

In the Russian Federation, the level of use of domestic software by companies exceeds 80%. This was reported to Izvestia on March 24 by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.

"The import substitution process continues, taking into account the needs and proposals of market representatives. Now companies increasingly prefer Russian solutions. For state—owned companies and government organizations involved in the implementation of digital transformation strategies, the level of use of domestic software exceeds 80%," the Ministry of Finance said.

The Ministry recalled that the requirement for public procurement of domestic software and operating system (OS), including in the regions, has been in effect since 2016.

On March 19, the head of the Ministry of Finance, Maksut Shadaev, announced that more than two thirds of the subjects of the critical information infrastructure (CII) had switched to domestic software. He clarified that currently private companies are not yet required to transfer even significant KKI facilities to a domestic site. The requirements apply to government agencies, government organizations, state-owned companies and state corporations.
