The office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the southern Gaza Strip was damaged by a shell hit. This was reported on 24 by the ICRC.

The committee added that no one was injured.

"The ICRC strongly condemns the attack on its mission," the Telegram channel said.

International humanitarian law provides special protection to humanitarian workers and medical personnel, as well as institutions and facilities that provide humanitarian assistance, the committee noted.

Earlier on March 24, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the largest hospital in the southern Gaza Strip, killing two people and injuring others. According to representatives of the enclave's Ministry of Health, the strike hit the surgical department of Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis.
