The UK has not provided an informed solution for the deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine, and there is no prospect of such a scenario. In an interview with Izvestia on March 24, Andrei Koshkin, head of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, a military expert, pointed this out.

Earlier in the day, The Telegraph newspaper, citing a senior source in the British army, reported that the military believes that Prime Minister Keir Starmer was too quick to talk about sending peacekeepers to maintain peace in Ukraine. According to the source, the prime minister does not understand what he is talking about.

"There is no promising solution so that the British Armed Forces can put forward something decent so that they can somehow be deployed in Ukraine. Now the inconsistency of Starmer's statements has been demonstrated, it has become the property of the whole world, and he is losing reputation points as the Prime Minister of Great Britain," Koshkin commented.

According to him, Starmer's aggressive rhetoric about sending military personnel to Ukraine was initially his attempt at PR. In addition, the expert stressed, the UK had no ideas other than to transfer soldiers to Ukraine, so Starmer, along with French President Emmanuel Macron, "came up with peacekeepers."

"This idea is already losing its foundation. Why? Because the United States does not support it," the source concluded.

Earlier, on March 20, the Financial Times newspaper reported that the countries of the so-called coalition of the willing decided to abandon the idea of sending ground forces to Ukraine and now want to focus on ensuring air and sea security for Kiev. On the same day, Macron announced a summit of the coalition of willing with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 27.
