- The assembly of Chinese Renault under the brand from the Russian Federation will be set up in Vladivostok

Production of Renault Master third-generation commercial vehicles will begin in Vladivostok, the cars will enter the market under the name Forpost Recruit, the Telegram channel "Russian Automobile" reports on March 24. The production of cars will be handled by the Vostochny Outpost company. According to the channel, she receives components for assembling cars from China, where Renault Master is manufactured.
The model is currently undergoing the final stage of certification to obtain the necessary documents (Chassis type Approval and Vehicle Type Approval). It is planned to produce two versions, differing in gross weight: up to 3.5 tons or more. Like Renault, the front-wheel drive car is being prepared in van and truck versions (semi-frame chassis for superstructures).
"The first OTTS will allow to produce 100 cars of each category. This is a simplified version of certification: apparently, Outpost wants to "feel" the market in this way. Such caution suggests that prices for the Chinese Renault Master will not be low," the publication notes.
Earlier in March, the press service of the Ministry of Development of the Far East announced that Vostochny Outpost, as a resident of the free port of Vladivostok, had begun implementing a project to create an import-substituting production facility for cars and trucks, buses, vans, trailers and semi-trailers, as well as bodywork.
The first production is scheduled for 2026. By 2027, the production capacity will be 20 vehicles per month. According to the agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV), investments in the project will amount to 31 million rubles.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that difficulties with the supply of Western auto parts due to sanctions and payment problems pushed businesses to increase investments in the construction and modernization of automotive component production facilities in Russia. Last year, the number of investment projects in this area increased by 71.4% compared to 2023, experts from the TenderPro electronic trading platform told Izvestia on March 24.
