Israel will always celebrate Victory Day and will definitely be represented at the parade in Moscow on May 9th. This was stated on March 24 by the acting ambassador of the country, Alexander Ben Zvi, in an interview with TASS.

"We must not forget that May 9th is an official date in Israel. We are one of the few countries, apart from the CIS countries, where May 9th is Victory Day. <...> We have it very clearly," he said.

He noted that in the Jewish state, where many veterans of the Great Patriotic War live, parades and the Immortal Regiment campaign are actively held. The celebration of Victory Day in Israel is unprecedented among countries outside the former USSR, Ben Zvi stressed.

In addition, as indicated by "Газета.ги The diplomat said that Israeli Ambassador to Russia Simona Halperin will represent Tel Aviv at the Victory Day Parade.

Earlier, on March 23, the Russian Embassy in Venezuela told Izvestia that Russia would be glad to receive the president of the South American country, Nicolas Maduro, at the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in Moscow. The diplomatic mission noted that the head of the Bolivarian Republic has repeatedly expressed a desire to pay tribute to the feat of the Soviet people in the fight against fascism.
