A woman died after undergoing surgery in a private clinic in Makhachkala, and a criminal case has been opened on causing death by negligence. This was reported on March 24 in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan.
As specified, on March 10, a local resident contacted the medical and diagnostic center in Makhachkala. On the same day, she underwent surgery, after which she was transferred to the intensive care unit. However, during the day, the patient's condition worsened, which led to cardiac arrest. Upon the death of the patient, an investigative check was organized in a private clinic.
"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence")," the agency said in a statement.
Earlier, on January 14, a resident of Moscow died in a cosmetology clinic in Moscow. The incident occurred in a salon on Rubtsovskaya Embankment. The woman felt unwell during the procedure, and the client could not be saved. The Muscovite was 40 years old.
