In Ukraine, not one of the 74 prosecutors with a fictitious disability was fired.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine is not going to dismiss prosecutors who have issued themselves a fake disability and received payments for it. This was reported on March 24 in the local public organization "Anti-Corruption Center" with reference to the response of the Prosecutor General's Office of the country.

The country's Ministry of Health has revoked the disability of 74 of the 526 prosecutors who have them. However, the Prosecutor General's Office sees no reason to dismiss these employees.

The restrictions affected drivers, artists, journalists and other categories.

Earlier, on October 22, 2024, the head of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, submitted his resignation. This happened against the background of the identification of cases of fictitious disability for officials in Ukrainian government agencies.

Later, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, proposed introducing fines in the amount of double pension payments against the background of the scandal with the illegal registration of disability by Ukrainian prosecutors.
