The cost of a single CTP policy for Russia and Belarus has become known

The minimum base rate of the CTP insurance tariff for Russia and Belarus for passenger vehicles will be 3,400 rubles, and the maximum will be 3,590 rubles. This was announced by Evgeny Ufimtsev, president of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), according to the organization's message, which was received by Izvestia on March 24.
For freight, the rate varies from 7560 to 7980 rubles. Tariffs are calculated according to the rules of professional activity of the RSA according to the tariffs agreed by the Bank of Russia. Insurers will independently determine the applicable tariff within the minimum and maximum base rates, Ufimtsev explained.
Those insurers that are included in the list of authorized to conduct operations within the framework of the interstate (international) insurance system have the right to sell CTP policies with an extension to Belarus. Currently, nine insurers are included in this list, the RSA noted.
It is expected that residents of Russia and Belarus will be able to buy a common CTP policy for the two countries from April 2025.
On March 17, the RSA reported that in 2024, the Republic of Ingushetia became the leader in the frequency of insurance claims for CTP with a result of 7.8%. The Republic of Dagestan is in second place with a frequency of 7.6%, before it led the ranking for two years in a row.
