Roskomnadzor explained failures in a number of services

Some services are inoperable due to the use of a foreign server infrastructure that is experiencing failures. This was reported to Izvestia by Roskomnadzor (RCN) on March 24.
"The Center for Monitoring and Management of the Public Communications Network (CMU SSOP) fixes problems in the availability of a number of services. The inactivity of a number of services is related to the use of a foreign server infrastructure, on which failures are recorded," they said.
The service recommended that domestic organizations use the capacities of Russian hosting providers.
According to the Downdetecto service, several websites and applications crashed earlier that day.
Prior to that, on March 20, the RCN clarified that CMU SSOP specialists would conduct scheduled technical checks on the use of foreign server infrastructure by Russian services and telecom operators. As explained, this is necessary to develop measures to improve the stability and security of services as part of the task of ensuring network sovereignty.
