A truck driver who shot down a schoolboy in the north of Moscow was arrested

A truck driver accused of committing an accident in which a child died has been taken into custody. This was reported in the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office on Monday, March 24.

"Taking into account the position of the Prosecutor's Office of the Northern Administrative District, a 44-year-old truck driver accused of committing an accident that killed a young boy has been taken into custody. At the hearing, the accused objected to the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention and asked for a ban on certain actions," the prosecutor's office told the Moscow city news agency.

On March 22, a criminal case was opened in Moscow after a truck driver killed a child born in 2013.

Police officers detained the suspect, reports 360.ru . He turned out to be a 44-year-old foreign citizen. A criminal case has been opened against him on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in death by negligence").
